In order to ensure your satisfaction and the best possible photos of your property, please refer to this checklist before your appointment

 
  • Move vehicles from driveway and front of the property

  • Cut grass, rake, and remove leaves and debris from lawn

  • Sweep deck & patio

  • Put trash & recycling containers in the garage or out of sight

  • Scoop pet leavings & put away pet toy

  • Cover cat litter pans with a storage tote or remove to the trunk of a car during the photoshoot

  • Remove “For Sale” signs or any other real estate marketing materials, or any political signs, from lawns and sidewalks

  • Clear countertops in kitchen & bathrooms

  • Put away shoes, coats, and outerwear

  • Stow clean dishes, cups, pots, pans, and flatware in drawers/organizers/cabinets

  • Remove photos & magnets from the refrigerator

  • Empty and wipe down sinks and tubs

  • Store shampoo, soap, and conditioner bottles as well as razors, washcloths, loofahs, toothbrushes, cleaning products, etc. in cabinets out of sight

  • Make beds

  • Do your best to hide all electrical cords behind/beneath appliances if appliances cannot be stowed away while photos are taken

  • Secure pets in a safe location while the photographer is walking the property

  • Wipe down glass doors, mirrors, and windows, and stainless steel appliances to remove streaks and spots

  • Vacuum carpets and sweep hard floors

  • Stow freestanding fans, space heaters, and air conditioning units

  • Ensure the property is at an appropriate and comfortable temperature prior to the photographer’s arrival, as you would for showings and guests

  • Put brooms, dustpans, dusters, vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, irons, ironing boards, etc. into closets and out of sight

  • Remove family photos and personal documents such as degrees, yearbooks, mail, and other identifying or sensitive materials

  • Take down calendars

  • Sweep unfinished basements and try to contain all storage materials to areas against walls or in corners
